Bangkok: The Safe and Creative Media Development Fund (SDCF) has announced the launch of its event, “STEPPING INTO YEAR 11: Beyond Sustainability,” which highlights the potential of creative media while unveiling its strategic plan for its eleventh year. The fund is set to distribute funding across five categories, with a total allocation of 300 million baht, aimed at addressing a range of social needs. Submission of project proposals is open until December 29th.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Supamas Isaraphakdi, Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office and Chairwoman of the SDCF, led the opening ceremony at Union Mall Shopping Center. The event was attended by Dr. Thanakorn Srisuksai, the Fund Manager, along with a wide network of grant recipients. Ms. Supamas emphasized the fund’s role in empowering media producers to foster positive energy and drive social change. She highlighted the importance of refining fund allocation regulations and criteria based on the lessons learned over the past decade. These improvements aim to better fulfill the missions outlined under Section 5 and cater to diverse target groups, including students, the elderly, people with disabilities, artists, and influencers.
