Bangkok: Meta, in partnership with six organizations, is promoting awareness of online scams by launching 'The Mystery Mansion of Scams: Unveiling the World of Scams', an experiential exploration of online fraud. Yingyot Leechai-anan, Head of Public Policy at Facebook Thailand, stated that online scams are becoming more severe and widespread, affecting various digital platforms, from dating apps and online games to cryptocurrency platforms and text message scams. He explained that they are battling large-scale, transnational organized crime groups with vast resources who constantly adapt their scam tactics. Meta is therefore striving to adapt quickly. While Meta's maximum measure is shutting down pages, it hasn't been able to stop these criminal organizations. Therefore, a proactive approach involving collaboration with government and private sector agencies is necessary.
