Ubon ratchathani: A middle-aged man has been arrested for abducting a 7-year-old child and hiding with her in bushes.

According to Thai News Agency, the incident took place on the evening of June 21st when Mr. Jarungkit, aged 45, took the young girl from her home and led her to a village park in Kham Yai Subdistrict, Mueang District. He allegedly intended to give her 20 baht in exchange for undressing, but the child resisted and screamed for help.

A concerned citizen, upon hearing the child's cries, went to investigate the situation. They discovered Mr. Jarungkit, heavily intoxicated, lying on his back with the girl sitting on top of him. The citizen acted promptly, assisting the child and alerting local residents. The community members restrained the man and handed him over to the police.

Mr. Jarungkit, known in the village for frequent alcohol consumption and causing disturbances, has been arrested multiple times for public intoxication and disorderly conduct. The authorities have charged him with "attempted sexual assault of a minor" and have taken him into custody for further legal proceedings.
