Bangkok: The Minister of Culture is preparing to pay an audience with the Supreme Patriarch. This is in line with the Minister of Culture’s important mission of meeting with religious leaders of five religions: Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, Brahmanism-Hinduism, and Sikhism, following her assumption of office. This mission aims to preserve religious institutions, the nation’s core institutions, and to establish a mechanism for cooperation on morality, ethics, and coexistence in a multicultural society.

The Minister of Culture stated that meeting religious leaders is a crucial mission in upholding the value of religion as the spiritual foundation of the people and a driving force for Thai society, fostering stability in a multicultural society. The audience with the Supreme Patriarch is an important opportunity to continue the policy of patronizing and protecting religion and supporting the role of religious organizations in national development, in line with the government’s policy of promoting morality, social order, and public harmony. This will help elevate spiritual and cultural capital as a creative force for sustainable development. Then, at 11:00 a.m., the Ministry of Culture executives and leaders of 15 religious organizations and followers of five religions-Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, Brahmanism-Hinduism, and Sikhism-will lead over 140 people to pay their respects to the royal remains of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, at Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall in the Grand Palace to commemor
