Bangkok: The Minister of Defense has issued an advisory to social media influencers, urging them to create content responsibly, particularly when dealing with sensitive topics such as the situation on the Thai-Cambodian border. He emphasized that content should not exert undue pressure on military personnel stationed in the area.
According to Thai News Agency, the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Adul Boonthamcharoen, highlighted the significance of maintaining ethical standards and professional responsibility in content creation. He expressed concern over influencers who seek attention by escalating tensions at the border through their content. The Minister reiterated the importance of not alarming the public regarding potential clashes, as appropriate measures and warning signs are in place.
Furthermore, the Minister addressed the transfer of Captain Thammanoon Wanna from the Marine Corps Task Force in Trat to the Navy's Humanitarian Mine Action Unit. He emphasized that this decision was based on Captain Thammanoon's familiarity with the area and his ability to manage mine clearance effectively.
