Bangkok: The Minister of Education has called on teachers and educational personnel to maintain good behavior, polite manners, and speech to build trust among students. This appeal was made during the 80th anniversary event of the Teachers Council Secretariat.
According to Thai News Agency, the event, chaired by Pol. Gen. Permpoon Chidchob, highlighted the important roles and missions of the Teachers Council Secretariat in supporting the teaching profession. As Chairman of the Teachers Council, Pol. Gen. Chidchob emphasized the need for proactive efforts in campaigning and reminding educational personnel of the importance of maintaining high standards of conduct. He stressed the significance of building a good reputation and fostering trust among students and guardians to create a positive image in society.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Amolwan Wirathammo, Secretary-General of the Teachers Council, outlined future goals for the Teachers Council as it enters its 81st year. The focus will be on developing teachers as educational leaders with strong academic and ethical capabilities. Dr. Wirathammo highlighted the need for educators to adapt to modern educational trends, contributing to the creation of knowledgeable and capable Thai citizens. This will align with the policy of promoting good learning and happiness, aimed at enhancing the quality of learners, benefiting society, and improving the country. Additionally, efforts will be made to develop standards and ethics within the educational profession to further elevate its status.
