Ministry of Defence Launches 18th Annual Patriotic Awareness Project Competition

Bangkok: The Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence has officially launched the 18th annual "Patriotic Awareness Project" competition, inviting young individuals to engage in activities that benefit society. This initiative provides a platform for youth to contribute positively to their communities.

According to Thai News Agency, Major General Kittipop Thiansiriwong, Secretary to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, along with his delegation, recently visited MCOT Public Company Limited. During this visit, they were received by Mr. Krisanapong Pongsaenyakorn, Acting Executive Editor of the News Editorial Department, Thai News Agency, alongside news anchors from Channel 9 MCOT. The visit aimed to promote the competition, which is a collaborative effort involving several offices, including the Ministry of Defence, Education, Social Development and Human Security, and Interior. The project encourages young people to leverage their skills and creativity to develop social benefit projects.

The competition offers young people aged 15-25 the opportunity to propose projects that meet community needs and involve community participation. Projects will be judged based on feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability. Eleven selected projects will receive funding of 35,000 baht each, with a requirement to complete their initiatives within 30 days. Interested individuals are invited to submit their project proposals until June 15, 2026.
