Bangkok:Mr. Akranan Kankittinant, Deputy Minister of Education and Chairman of the Center for the Protection of Rights, Freedoms and Security of the Ministry of Education, has announced a coordinated effort to assist flood-affected individuals in applying for government compensation. This initiative, involving "SKR teachers" nationwide, aims to help people access flood relief payments of 9,000 baht, especially those who face challenges in using computers and electronic systems.
According to Thai News Agency, The Ministry of Education, through the Department of Learning Extension and its network of teachers, is actively working in communities to facilitate the application process for flood relief funds. The effort is particularly focused on assisting the elderly, those in remote areas, and individuals who are not proficient with technology, ensuring they do not lose their rights to government assistance.
Dr. Ketsathip Suphavanich, Director-General of the Department of Learning Promotion, has instructed affiliated agencies and educational institutions to conduct surveys and provide support in flood-affected areas. This initiative is intended to ensure comprehensive access to government compensation for all citizens, particularly those unable to submit applications online.
Mr. Akranan emphasized the crucial role of teachers in times of crisis, noting that their proximity to the community makes them an essential force in coordinating and facilitating access to government services. The Ministry of Education's efforts extend beyond classroom teaching, as teachers from the Office of the Basic Education Commission are mobilized nationwide to ensure timely and comprehensive assistance for those in need.
The operation aims to reach all affected individuals, with a focus on those with technological limitations, to provide rapid and inclusive support during this challenging time.
