Lieutenant Colonel Patthadarasmi Thongsalooykorn, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that the Ministry of Education has designated January 1, 2027, as the start date for the implementation of the paperless e-Office system, covering all affiliated agencies. This aims to upgrade public administration to a fully digital system, increasing work efficiency, reducing bureaucratic procedures and redundancy, and enhancing the speed, transparency, and accountability of decision-making, work tracking, and coordination. The Deputy Spokesperson added that several agencies within the Ministry of Education have already begun using the e-Office system, such as the Office of the Permanent Secretary and the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), before expanding it to all affilia ted agencies to ensure operations meet established goals.

According to Thai News Agency, simultaneously, the Ministry of Education is preparing to develop a pilot project to link the personnel management and document management systems of all agencies through a single system. This will enable efficient data exchange and coordination, as well as support data linkage with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, the Ministry of Labour, and the Ministry of Interior. Emphasis will be placed on data security measures and strict access control to build confidence in the use of the government's digital system.

The Ministry of Education's implementation of the e-Office system is part of its efforts to modernize the Thai civil service, aiming to reduce paper usage, lessen the burden of document management, and expedite the ordering, tracking, and coordination between agencies. It also promotes transparency and allows for traceability in operations. Lieutenant Colonel Patthadarasmi stated that the e-Office system not only reduces paper usage but also eliminates document redundancy, increases administrative efficiency, and is expected to reduce administrative costs by approximately 30-40%. Furthermore, it supports collaboration among government agencies in the digital age and enhances public services, making them more convenient, faster, and more efficient.
