Bangkok: More than 10,000 dancers have broken the record for the largest dance tribute to Chao Pho Phaya Lae. This monumental event took place in Chaiyaphum Province, where dancers gathered to perform in unison, paying homage to the revered figure.

According to Thai News Agency, the dancers’ performance was part of a larger ceremony that included various rituals. Among these was the Sai Mu ritual, which is believed to ward off bad luck and promote longevity. This ritual involved the use of a “Siak Kab” doll, adding to the cultural significance of the event.

In an unrelated incident, an army of beetles invaded the monks’ quarters, creating a scene of chaos. The infestation was so severe that it became difficult for the monks to recognize the temple surroundings.

Meanwhile, a sudden rainstorm hit Korat, leading to an unusual event where a wooden chair was swept up by the wind and hurled towards a novice monk. The unexpected incident caused the monk to scatter and flee, highlighting the storm’s intensity.
