Mother Hospitalized in Shock After Son’s Death in Battle on Hill 350

Bangkok: A mother was hospitalized in shock after learning of her son’s death in the Battle of Hill 350 during the mission to reclaim Ta Kwai Temple.

According to Thai News Agency, clashes on the Thai-Cambodian border near Hill 350, close to Ta Kwai Temple in Surin Province, resulted in the loss of two more Thai soldiers yesterday: Sergeant Major Samroeng Klangprakon and Private Phanupat Sausasa, both from the 3rd Infantry Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment.

Reporters visited the mother and family of Private Phanupat at the hospital after learning of their son’s death in battle. The mother was in shock and required urgent hospitalization, but her condition is now stable. Private Phanupat’s dream was to be a soldier and continue his education to achieve a higher rank and position, and to become the pillar of support for his two younger siblings’ education. She is proud that her son fulfilled his promise to fight to reclaim Ta Kwai Castle for the Thai people.
