Saraburi: A chaotic scene unfolded on the M6 motorway when a man, allegedly under the influence of drugs, rode his motorcycle onto the expressway and became embroiled in a violent encounter that left a security guard dead. The incident occurred at Moo 12, Bua Loi Subdistrict, Nong Khae District, where the suspect, identified as 42-year-old Teerachai, was reportedly acting erratically.

According to Thai News Agency, the situation escalated when the suspect attempted to stab a security guard, Mr. Chalong, during the encounter. However, Teerachai was ultimately stabbed instead and fled the scene, only to be later apprehended by villagers under the expressway bridge. Teerachai was found with stab wounds to his ribs and a gunshot wound and was promptly transported to the hospital by rescue workers.

Prior to the altercation, Mr. Chalong had responded to reports of a motorcycle being driven erratically on the motorway, a stretch often troubled by thefts of electrical wires. The security guard attempted to intercept the suspect, leading to a confrontation that resulted in his demise. The police, upon investigation, discovered a .38 caliber homemade gun, a spent cartridge, and a knife near Mr. Chalong's body, which are believed to belong to the suspect. The absence of visible wounds on Mr. Chalong's body has led to suspicions that he may have suffered a heart attack during the struggle.

Further investigations revealed that Teerachai had a history of violence, having been involved in a homicide case in Khon Kaen province back in 2011. Meanwhile, medical examinations conducted at Nong Khae Hospital confirmed that the deceased security guard showed no physical wounds, suggesting cardiac failure as the cause of death.
