“Mr. Shrimp” Awarded Honorary Doctorate for Contributions to Engineering and Construction Management

Si racha: “Mr. Shrimp” received an honorary doctorate from the Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-ok, recognizing his contributions as a “National Guard Warrior and Developer” with expertise in engineering and construction management.

According to Thai News Agency, on November 5, 2015, Lt. Gen. Dr. Boonsin Phadklang, who serves as an Advisor to the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army and is the former Commander of the Second Army Area, was honored with an honorary doctorate in civil engineering and construction management. The degree was conferred by Privy Councilor Plakorn Suwannarat at a ceremony held in the auditorium of the Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-ok, Si Racha District, Chonburi Province.

Lt. Gen. Boonsin is an alumnus of the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy, where he completed a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. The Uthenthawai Alumni Association decided to bestow upon him an honorary doctorate in philosophy for his significant contributions to the nation and its people. He is recognized not only as a “warrior defender of the nation” but also as a “developer” with specialized knowledge in engineering and construction management.
