Metropolitan Waterworks Authority: Metropolitan Waterworks Authority (MWA) collaborates with Britannia and Pruksa to promote the use of water-saving devices to conserve water resources sustainably.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Suwara Thawichasri, Governor of MWA, along with Dr. Supaluck Chanpitak, Chief Executive Officer of Britannia Public Company Limited, and Mr. Teera Thongwilai, Chief Executive Officer of Pruksa Real Estate Public Company Limited, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote and support the use of water-saving devices. These devices, recognized with the water-saving efficiency label from the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority, aim to encourage wise water use and maintain water resources for sustainable consumption.
The collaboration underscores the importance all three entities place on water resources and management through Demand Side Management (DSM). As per the agreement, Britannia plans to install water-saving devices in 14 of its projects, while Pruksa will implement these devices in 20 projects. This initiative is part of a broader effort to reduce water usage and manage water resources effectively. MWA has already certified nearly 300 models of water-saving labels, and these devices have been incorporated into almost 15,000 housing projects by real estate entrepreneurs. The MWA aims to further expand the widespread use of these water-saving devices.
