Rayong: A young man from Myanmar lost his life instantly after his motorcycle crashed into the back of a cement mixer truck on Highway 3191 in Nikhom Pattana District, Rayong Province.
According to Thai News Agency, the tragic incident was captured by CCTV footage, which shows the cement truck parked while waiting to make a right turn on Road 3191, in front of the Pinthong 6 factory. The collision occurred in the early evening at 7:10 PM yesterday, May 29, 2026. The Siam Rayong Rescue Center was promptly informed and worked alongside a medical team from Nikhom Phatthana Hospital to assess the scene.
Upon arrival, rescue workers found Mr. Zaw Wa Ha Ne Mu, a Myanmar national, critically injured. They attempted CPR to revive him, but he succumbed to his injuries. The motorcycle he was riding was discovered wedged under the rear of the cement mixer, completely destroyed.
Witness accounts revealed that the motorcycle was speeding and playing loud music from a modified sound system prior to the crash. It is believed that the deceased was distracted by the music and did not notice the stationary cement truck, leading to the fatal collision. Local residents have highlighted the poor lighting conditions at the accident site, citing it as a frequent cause of accidents. They have called on authorities to install streetlights to enhance road safety.
