Mysterious Man Jumps Onto Moving Sedan, Claims Car Theft

Chonburi: Panic erupted on a busy road as a middle-aged man leaped onto the front of a sedan late at night, alleging that his car had been stolen. The incident, which was captured on video, left those filming in a state of alarm along the entire route.

According to Thai News Agency, a video was posted on Facebook showing an unidentified man jumping onto a moving sedan. Despite the presence of the man on its hood, the driver continued to drive, causing great concern among onlookers. The event happened at 9:00 PM under Highway 7 bridge, section 5, on the inbound side towards Pattaya, Nong Prue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. The footage depicts the sedan moving from Highway 7 towards Sukhumvit Road in Pattaya city.

A Facebook user shared, "This person's car was stolen. It was parked in the middle of the motorway, and the person jumped onto the stolen car and drove towards Pattaya central. If anyone sees them, please stop them." The post quickly gained traction online.

According to Mr. Pongsathorn, 19, a motorcycle taxi driver who witnessed the scene, he observed the man clinging to the car from the motorway bridge. The car eventually slowed and stopped briefly near his taxi stand before speeding off again with the man still attached. Mr. Pongsathorn and a friend attempted to intervene but were unable to reach the scene in time. He noted that although he initially planned to follow the situation, he had to attend to a passenger, preventing further pursuit. The legitimacy of the car theft claim remains unverified.

Initial reports suggest no additional injuries or damage resulted from the incident. Authorities are anticipated to fast-track the investigation by examining video evidence and speaking with witnesses present at the scene.
