Nakhon Ratchasima Targets 75% Voter Turnout Ahead of Election

Nakhon ratchasima: Nakhon Ratchasima is aiming for a voter turnout exceeding 75% and is accelerating preparations ahead of the upcoming election. The Director of the Election Commission of Nakhon Ratchasima has emphasized the need for election officials to be fully prepared.

According to Thai News Agency, the Director of the Election Commission Office of Nakhon Ratchasima has stated that the commission is ready for the general election scheduled for February 8, 2026. Contingency plans have been put in place to ensure a smooth, accurate, and error-free voting process. The target is to achieve at least 75% voter turnout among eligible voters.

The atmosphere at the polling station was active, particularly at the Phimai District Hall, the central polling station for Constituency 8. Members of the election committee from 178 polling stations in Phimai District and an additional 111 in Chum Phuang District, totaling 289 stations, were arriving to inspect and collect ballot boxes and election materials. Constituency 8 has a total of 133,818 eligible voters.

Election officials assembled as scheduled at the Kamphaeng Phet Provincial Administrative Organization auditorium, located behind the old Mueang District Office. This site serves as the coordination center for the election of Members of Parliament in Constituency 1. The Election Subcommittee for Constituency 1, alongside volunteer staff, meticulously checked and prepared essential equipment for each polling station. This includes ballot boxes, voting booths, ballot papers, stationery, and administrative documents to ensure transparency and minimize potential errors on election day.
