Bangkok: “Narumon” welcomes former MPs from Chalermchai’s group and Yotsing’s friend into the Klaatham family, strengthening their campaign for the 2026 general election. Ms. Narumon Pinyosinwat, leader of the Kla Tham Party, welcomed former Members of Parliament and former Provincial Council members from the group of Mr. Chalermchai Sri-on, former leader of the Democrat Party, who have applied to become members of the Kla Tham Party in preparation for the upcoming elections. Professor Dr. Narumon officially presented the new members with party shirts.
According to Thai News Agency, those in attendance included Mr. Pramual Wongthaworndej, former MP for Prachuap Khiri Khan; Pol. Maj. Gen. Surin Palare, former MP for Songkhla; Mr. Yunaidi Waba, former MP for Pattani; Mr. Wuttipong Namboot, former MP for Ubon Ratchathani; Lt. Yutthakan Rattanamaas, former MP for Nakhon Si Thammarat; Ms. Supatcharee Thammaphet, former MP for Phatthalung; Mr. Chatree Laphrom, former MP for Sakon Nakhon; Ms. Jenjira Rattanapian, former spokesperson for the Democrat Party; Mr. Thitinai Tangburapakit, member of the Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Council; and Mr. Chakraphan Piyapornpaiboon, former MP for Prachuap Khiri Khan. Also present were Chief Petty Officer Yotsing Liemlert, Deputy Minister of Industry, and Mr. Chaiwat Paopeamsap, former MP for Chachoengsao (Palang Pracharath Party).
Ms. Narumon stated that welcoming Mr. Chalermchai’s “friends group” to the Kla Tham Party strengthens its political momentum for the people, covering the South, East, and Northeast regions. She confirmed that the party will soon officially launch its campaign and parliamentary candidates, stating there will be no overlapping constituencies and expressing confidence in the competition in the South, despite facing Bhumjaithai and Democrat parties, with candidates in all 400 constituencies. Regarding the formation of a government and a prime minister candidate, she said they would wait for the election results before deciding on any particular party.
