The assailant, disguised in a hijab, seriously injured the officer and killed his wife, who was carrying their infant child. The incident, which took place on May 25, 2026, left the baby injured and has sparked outrage and demands for justice.
The NHRC expressed its deepest condolences to the affected family, condemning the brutal act that separated a mother from her child. It emphasized that such acts are not only heartbreaking but also violate both the law and international conventions.
