Chiang mai: "Natthapong" campaigned in Chiang Mai province to support candidates, expressing confidence that the People's Party will sweep all 10 seats and move towards forming a government of the people.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Nattapong Ruangpanyawut, the People's Party's prime ministerial candidate, visited Chiang Mai province today to campaign for the party's candidates. His visit was met with enthusiasm, as many residents welcomed him and requested photos. Mr. Nattapong expressed strong confidence that the People's Party would secure all 10 seats in Chiang Mai, facilitating the formation of a government focused on serving the people.
The campaign kicked off at 10:00 AM, with Mr. Nattapong, also known as "Teng," starting his day at Hang Dong market to support Mr. Pattarapong Leelaphat, the candidate for Member of Parliament in Chiang Mai's District 8, number 4. The reception from Hang Dong residents was overwhelmingly positive, with local supporters cheering for the People's Party's candidates and presenting them with gifts such as oranges and garlands. Throughout the campaign, Mr. Nattapong was frequently approached for photos and was encouraged by the community's well wishes for his potential election as prime minister.
Mr. Nattapong remarked that the reception in Constituency 4 was exceptionally positive, reinforcing his belief that the campaign in Chiang Mai would bolster the People's Party's reputation as a trusted and reliable choice for the locals. Buoyed by the previous election's success of securing 7 seats, Mr. Nattapong is confident in capturing the remaining 3 seats, attributing this to the candidates' diligent campaigning and commitment to addressing local issues. He urged Chiang Mai residents to vote for the People's Party, emphasizing their commitment to forming a government that tackles illicit funds and corruption. Addressing concerns about legal issues involving some People's Party candidates, he assured that the party has a clear policy for managing such matters and intends to rigorously tackle these issues if elected.
Following his engagement at Hang Dong, Mr. Nattapong proceeded with his campaign activities, traveling through the area in a campaign vehicle before meeting the public at the Chedi Mae Khrua market in San Sai district to support Ms. Phutthita Chaiyanan, candidate number 6 for Member of Parliament in Chiang Mai Constituency 4.
Later in the afternoon, Mr. Nattapong is scheduled to join a rally with the ethnic minority group "People Are Equal" at the activity area in front of Wat Latthiwan. This engagement aims to discuss and exchange ideas regarding equality and access to various rights, aligning with the party's commitment to these issues.
