“Natthawut” arrested for murder and burning of student’s body

A transgender woman was taken into custody to reenact the murder and burning of a student in a dormitory in the Prachachuen area after fleeing to hide in her hometown of Nakhon Sawan, but she did not get away. The suspect claimed that the reason for the murder was money-related anger. In the case of Mr. Witsawa or Sun, aged 22, a student at a famous university in the Khlong Prapa area, who was stabbed to death by a criminal before wrapping his body in a blanket and setting fire to hide the body in a dormitory room in the Prachachuen area, Mueang Nonthaburi District, there is a surveillance camera capturing the image of a criminal who looks like a transgender riding a motorcycle and parking to commit the crime. At that time, the deceased was waiting to receive him at the entrance. After the incident, the criminal changed clothes and rode away. Later, the police received a tip that the suspect had fled to hide at a house in Phayuhakhiri District, Nakhon Sawan Province, so they raided and arrested him at his house in Nikhom Khao Bo Kaeo Subdistrict. The perpetrator, Mr. Nattawut or Nut, a 21-year-old transgender woman, admitted to killing Sun because she was angry and had a problem with money. After killing him, she sold Sun's mobile phone for 7,000 baht and traveled to Phu Thap Boek, Phetchabun Province, before deciding to return to see her grandparents in her hometown in Phayuhakhiri District, Nakhon Sawan Province. This morning's update, after the police went to take Mr. Nattawut to be detained at Ratthanathibet Police Station, Pol. Col. Phisit Chanthasuwan, Superintendent of Ratthanathibet Police Station, went to talk to Mr. Nattawut in the detention room for about 20 minutes, but did not reveal details to reporters, saying only that today the suspect will be taken to reenact the crime scene for the case file. The police recently took Nattawut to reenact the crime under tight security, including having him wear a helmet. However, the minute he was taken out of the police station, reporters tried to ask him again about the motive for the crime, but Nattawut kept his mouth shut and did not answer any questions from the reporters. The first place the police asked the suspect to identify himself was the motorcycle parking area in front of the dormitory and the front of the white pickup truck, according to the CCTV footage from the day of the incident. They then took Nattawut to identify the crime scene on the 6th floor of the deceased's room. Pol. Col. Phisit Chanthasuwan, Superintendent of Rattanathibet Police Station, revealed that the perpetrator confessed to killing Mr. Wisawa. The perpetrator traveled from Nakhon Sawan to Chiang Mai before coming down to Bangkok on August 5 and stayed at a hotel in the Phaya Thai area before meeting the young student at his room on August 7. The motive for the crime was money. They had originally agreed on 2,000 baht, but when he arrived, he demanded 5,000 baht more, which led to an argument and the incident. As for the knife used, the perpetrator claimed that it was a knife that was already in the room. After stabbing the deceased, he thought that he might die, so he wrapped the clothes in the room, including a pillow and blanket, around the deceased's body before setting it on fire and throwing the knife used in the incident into the fire. It is believed that the crime was committed in his presence. No weapon was found at the scene of the crime. Regarding the relationship between the two, the accused claimed that he had known the deceased through Facebook at the beginning of this year. They had been in constant contact until they arranged to meet at the deceased's room. As for what they arranged to meet, that cannot be disclosed. It is in the case file. Initially, 4 charges were filed: intentional murder, arson, concealment of a corpse, theft. A criminal record check of the suspect did not reveal any previous history of crimes. This afternoon, the suspect will be taken to the Nonthaburi Provincial Court for detention Source: Thai News Agency
