Motorists who refuse to pay or do not properly pay traffic tickets will, from now on, will not have their annual car registrations renewed which means that the motorists will be fined if they continue driving their cars without their registrations being renewed.
The new measure was imposed by means of the invocation of Section 44 of the interim constitution by General Prayut Chan-ocha in his capacity as head of the National Council for Peace and Order.
The measure was meant to discipline motorists who broke traffic law and, at the same time, refused to pay traffic tickets as required.
A motorist who has his/her car registration renewed will be issued with a sticker to be attached to the front windscreen.
