New Way of Agriculture Event Offers Free Training and Market Opportunities in Pathum Thani

Pathum Thani:The Agricultural Museum of Thailand is set to host the "New Way of Agriculture" event, offering a unique learning experience through eight free training courses. Scheduled for November 7-8, 2026, from 800 AM to 500 PM, the event will be held at the Agricultural Museum in Pathum Thani Province under the theme "From Traditional Wisdom to Value-Creating Ideas."

According to Thai News Agency, the event aims to disseminate agricultural knowledge and wisdom that can be applied to daily life, focusing on cost reduction, self-reliance, and creating career opportunities. This initiative is designed to show that agriculture extends beyond large-scale cultivation and is accessible to everyone, encouraging efficient use of resources, household crop growth, and development of value-added products.

The event will showcase various agricultural practices, including examples from real areas and farmer networks such as agroforestry in Chachoengsao Province and the Khok Nong Na model at Uncle Saeb's garden. These examples highlight diverse local wisdom and resource management approaches, demonstrating adaptations of the King's philosophy to local conditions for sustainable agriculture.

Visitors can explore exhibitions like "Plant Wisdom The Science, Art, and Traditions of Agriculture" and "Kog Nong Na The New Theory of Agriculture," which connect traditional wisdom with practical daily life applications. Hands-on activities will include making herbal compresses, dyeing fabrics with natural indigo, and more, providing visitors with ideas to adapt local resources.

The event will also feature courses led by experts, covering topics such as integrated crop farming, herbal processing, and organic farming. Participants will gain practical knowledge applicable in real life and access free entry to several museums and various activities.

Attendees can shop from over 100 vendors offering safe agricultural products and participate in activities designed to reduce waste and promote creativity. For more information, visit the Agricultural Museum of Thailand's Facebook page or contact the museum directly.
