Nhim Challenges Nu to Pre-Election Debate to Promote Unity

Chiang rai: Nim has issued a challenge to Nu for a debate before the upcoming election, emphasizing that all parties and individuals share an equal love for the nation. He cautioned against using nationalist fervor as a tactic to divide the people, akin to the campaign style of Hun Sen. Nim highlighted the widespread frustration among the supporters of Yotsanan, who are anxious about the possibility of not returning to Government House, and urged for an opportunity for Tonnam to enter parliament following his previous disappointment in 2023.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chulaphan Amornvivat, the Pheu Thai Party's prime ministerial candidate and leader, addressed a large gathering at the Chiang Rai International Convention and Exhibition Center. The event was part of the campaign efforts for Mr. Thanarat Chongsuthanamanee, the party's candidate for Member of Parliament in Chiang Rai Constituency 1. In his address, Mr. Chulaphan asserted that Mr. Yoschanan is committed to leading Thailand out of discord without engaging in mudslinging, despite attacks from other parties. Mr. Yoschanan aims to leverage technology for national development.

Mr. Chulaphan outlined the Pheu Thai Party's policy priorities, focusing on debt alleviation, ensuring profits for agricultural products, and implementing a poverty-stricken policy with a monthly salary guarantee. Additionally, a "Millionaire" policy aims to distribute 1 million baht to 9 people daily. These initiatives are intended to stimulate the economy rather than serve as populist measures. The party plans to tackle economic and social issues, including drug trafficking and scams, through a digital government approach.

Highlighting Mr. Thanarat's return, Mr. Chulaphan emphasized the Pheu Thai candidates' connection with the populace despite previous electoral outcomes. He urged voters to support both candidates to ensure Mr. Thanarat's Prime Ministerial prospects, promising that Mr. Thanarat would advocate for Dr. Yotchanan's leadership in parliament.

Addressing recent political developments, Mr. Chulaphan criticized the Bhumjaithai Party's rally rhetoric as divisive, comparing it to Hun Sen's nationalist strategies in Cambodia. He reaffirmed Pheu Thai's commitment to national unity and problem-solving. Mr. Chulaphan extended an invitation to the Bhumjaithai Party for a public debate, seeking an exchange of ideas for the people's benefit.

Mr. Chulaphan concluded by urging voters to support Pheu Thai with both ballots to advance the nation's interests and foster unity.
