Bangkok: Nida Poll” reveals survey results on the topic “Do you remember important Buddhist days?” found that most of the sample group forgot the importance of “Makha Bucha – Visakha Bucha – Asalha Bucha” days, but were satisfied with the work of the National Office of Buddhism.
According to Thai News Agency, Nida Poll, an opinion survey center, revealed the results of a survey titled ‘Do you remember important Buddhist days?’ conducted between May 2-5, 2025, among people aged 15 and over who are Buddhists, spread across all levels of education, occupations, and incomes nationwide, totaling 1,310 samples. The survey was about people’s perception of the importance of various Buddhist days.
From the survey when asked about the public’s awareness of the importance of Makha Bucha Day in Buddhism, it was found that 40.38 percent of the sample said they knew and 59.62 percent said they did not know.
In terms of public awareness of the importance of Visakha Bucha Day in Buddhism, 47.94 percent of the sample said they knew and 52.06 percent said they did not know.
In terms of public awareness of the importance of Asalha Bucha Day in Buddhism, 26.87 percent of the sample said they knew and 73.13 percent said they did not know.
In terms of public awareness of the importance of Buddhist Lent, 77.94 percent of the sample said they knew and 22.06 percent said they did not know.
Finally, when asked about satisfaction with the work of the National Office of Buddhism in promoting, caring for, preserving, and sustaining Buddhism, it was found that 43.12 percent of the sample stated that they were somewhat satisfied, followed by 29.85 percent who stated that they were not very satisfied, 15.73 percent who stated that they were very satisfied and 11.30 percent who stated that they were not at all satisfied.
