Bangkok:An elderly woman from Phitsanulok, who had reportedly come back to life, has passed away peacefully due to a bladder infection. Previously, her relatives were in the process of preparing her body for cremation as part of a community housing project when she unexpectedly revived, knocking on her coffin and calling for help.
According to Thai News Agency, the incident occurred when the woman’s body was being transported in a coffin from Phitsanulok Province to a temple in Nonthaburi Province for a funeral ceremony. Her sudden revival, which included knocking on the coffin and calling for help, led to panic among her family, relatives, and temple staff. A subsequent medical examination revealed that she had low blood sugar.
The elderly woman passed away again yesterday, after initially reviving on December 14th. Her family held a two-night funeral service at Wat Rat Prakong Tham in Nonthaburi Province. They expressed their gratitude to the temple’s abbot for his assistance during this time.
Mr. Pairach Sutthup, the temple administrator of Wat Rat Prakong Tham, shared that the woman received the best care before her passing, as the abbot took complete care of her until her time was truly up. The temple facilitated her funeral rites, and a doctor’s certificate confirmed she had a urinary tract infection. The cremation was conducted yesterday.
