Yangon: Noom Kala, a well-known soft rock singer, recently traveled to Myanmar to make merit and contribute to the upkeep of the Shwedagon Pagoda.

According to Thai News Agency, Noom Kala donated money for the maintenance and electricity bills of the historic pagoda, ensuring it remains illuminated for the next three months. He shared his intentions and actions via a post on his personal Instagram account, where he expressed his desire to share the merit with his followers. The post, dated November 4, 2015, included a photo of Noom at the pagoda and attracted numerous comments from fans eager to join in the merit-making process.
