Northeastern Thailand to Experience Strong Winds and Temperature Drop

Bangkok: Strong winds and temperatures will drop by 1-3 degrees Celsius.

According to Thai News Agency, the Meteorological Department reports that northeastern Thailand will experience strong winds and a temperature drop of 1-3 degrees Celsius. This change is attributed to a new, moderate to fairly strong high-pressure system or cold air mass moving from China over southern China and northern Vietnam, expected to spread over northern Laos, upper northeastern Thailand, and the South China Sea today.

The forecast for the next 24 hours also indicates that Bangkok and surrounding areas, the East, and the South will see scattered thunderstorms. Southerly and southeasterly winds are bringing moisture from the South China Sea and the Gulf of Thailand to central Thailand, contributing to these weather conditions.

Residents in upper Thailand are advised to take precautions for their health due to the weather change. Farmers are urged to protect their crops and livestock from potential damage from rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds. The southern region is also expected to experience scattered thunderstorms due to the northeast monsoon. Mariners in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea are advised to be cautious due to moderate wave conditions, with heights reaching up to 2 meters in areas with thunderstorms.

The weather forecast for various regions of Thailand shows cool weather with morning fog in the North, while the Central and Eastern regions have a chance of thunderstorms. The Southern region, both east and west coasts, is expected to see thunderstorms in certain areas. The forecast period is from 6:00 AM today to 6:00 AM tomorrow.
