ONCB opens warehouse to inspect and count over 23 tons of drugs from 146 cases, preparing to incinerate them in Samut Prakan on 8 Aug. Mr. Aphikit Chor. Rojanaprasert, Deputy Secretary-General of the ONCB, led the opening of the drug storage room, 'Secure Room', to deliver the drugs for initial testing using the color test before destroying them. The inspection and delivery of drugs in this round had a net weight of more than 23.22 tons of drugs from 146 cases, including 18,903 kilograms (207 million methamphetamine pills), 2,833 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, 1,086 kilograms of ketamine, 434 kilograms of heroin, and other drugs weighing more than 40 kilograms. In order to avoid doubts among the public and to promote public awareness, the government has planned t o continuously burn drugs at least once every two months. This process will be carried out between August 6-7, 2024, with working groups from various agencies.
