Bangkok: Children's Day celebrations at Government House were lively, with one-year-old "Nong Chompoo" being the first to sit in the Prime Minister's chair. Today at 8:00 AM, at Khu Fah Building, Government House, children were given the opportunity to sit in the Prime Minister's chair in celebration of National Children's Day 2026. The event was held under the theme "Excellent Learning, Moral Values." The first child to sit in the Prime Minister's chair was 1-year-and-4-month-old Vipaporn Kalantanont (Nong Chompoo), who traveled from Samut Prakan Province with her guardians and older brother.
According to Thai News Agency, the parents revealed that they have been coming to Government House since 2018 because they wanted their grandchildren to learn about various activities and to see Government House as an important place that would inspire them. This year, officials have prepared "certificates" and placed them on the Prime Minister's desk, with spaces left for children to write their names in the role of "Future Prime Minister."
