Bangkok: The Ministry of Interior is pleased with the success of "OTOP Midyear 2026," which concluded after nine days with over 893 million baht in sales. "Pholpeer" thanked the public for their participation in the OTOP Midyear 2026 shopping event over the nine days, generating over 893.859 million baht in revenue. This stimulated the grassroots economy and created sustainable income for communities nationwide.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Polpeera Suwannachavi, Deputy Minister of Interior, revealed the success of the OTOP Midyear 2026 event. The government and the Ministry of Interior, under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, express their gratitude to all citizens who visited and shopped at the OTOP Midyear 2026 event, as well as those who ordered and purchased products through various online platforms, for their continued support of the event.
Throughout the 9 days of the event, total sales reached 893.859 million baht, exceeding the target of 600 million baht and surpassing last year's sales by 122.379 million baht. The top 5 sales zones were: OTOP 5 categories (441.8 million baht), OTOP artists (66.4 million baht), OTOP food (65 million baht), OTOP Premium (23.6 million baht), and OTOP Startup (6.8 million baht). The top 5 provinces with the highest cumulative sales were: Surin (55.84 million baht), Chanthaburi (48.72 million baht), Lamphun (40.57 million baht), Sukhothai (36.63 million baht), and Chiang Mai (33.95 million baht).
General Peer added that the OTOP Midyear 2026 sales figure of 893.859 million baht is a highly successful stimulus to the grassroots economy, exceeding the target of 600 million baht. This year, several community products from non-OTOP 3-5 star vendors were also featured, providing opportunities and truly distributing income to grassroots communities. Furthermore, many entrepreneurial groups received significant orders leading to business expansion, reflecting the success in promoting and developing products that meet market and consumer demands across all age groups. Importantly, beyond exceeding the sales target, it is hoped that this will lead to sustainable income generation for communities. He also invited the public to prepare to see, shop, taste, and check in at the grand OTOP event in August 2026, "Thai Handicrafts OTOP: Uniting Hearts with Royal Grace," which the Ministry of Interior, through the Department of Community Development, will announce at a later date.
