The Ministry of Finance announced the progress of the 2026 State Welfare Registration Project, assuring that those who did not pass the eligibility verification can request a review of their eligibility until August 31, 2026.
According to Thai News Agency, as of August 26, 2026, there were 3,139,886 individuals who had passed the eligibility verification process and required identity confirmation (e-KYC). Currently, 2,510,504 individuals have successfully completed the e-KYC process, representing 80%. Mr. Vinit Visetsuwannapoom, Director of the Fiscal Policy Office and spokesperson for the Ministry of Finance, revealed the progress of the project, showing significant engagement among the eligible population.
Of the 9,314,253 individuals who did not pass the eligibility verification, 4,767,301 have filed for reconsideration. Those who believe the verification results may be inaccurate or outdated can retain their rights and file a request for reconsideration until August 31, 2026, through various platforms such as the State Welfare Registration Project website, the Paotang application, government applications, or branches of five major banks. These include Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited, Government Savings Bank, Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC), Government Housing Bank (GHB), and Islamic Bank of Thailand.
Citizens can track the status of their eligibility review requests through the State Welfare Registration Project website. The Ministry of Finance will announce the results of the eligibility review on September 30, 2026. Those who qualify and are required to complete the identity verification (e-KYC) process will be able to start using their benefits from October 1, 2026, onwards.
For further assistance, the Ministry of Finance has provided various contact points, including the Office of the Permanent Secretary and the Fiscal Policy Office, with specific contact numbers for inquiries related to the State Welfare Card and related issues. Additionally, the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security provides support through its hotline for other welfare benefits.
