Surat thani: P.C. Siam Co., Ltd. held a press conference to refute allegations of oil stockpiling, presenting documents to confirm the claims are false and pledging cooperation with any investigations. The company plans to submit clarifying documents to the Minister of Energy and relevant agencies.
According to Thai News Agency, the press conference took place at the PC Tower building in Bang Kung Subdistrict, Mueang District, Surat Thani Province. Lieutenant Colonel Chamnong Wibulsilp, General Manager and representative of P.C. Siam Co., Ltd., along with legal advisors, addressed the circulating news on social media about "stockpiling of oil" in Surat Thani Province. They asserted that the reports were inaccurate and had caused damage to the company's reputation and operations.
Lieutenant Colonel Chamnong explained that the reported 2 million liters of oil referred to Gasohol 95 stored as part of regular business activities. The company acquired the oil from refineries and stored it in warehouses for sale to commercial partners, adhering to legal accounting procedures.
The company emphasized that it strictly follows all laws, regulations, and guidelines prescribed by regulatory authorities, with all required information reported in the appropriate formats. There was no hoarding for illicit purposes.
Inspections conducted by local officials between March 27-29 and by government agencies on April 1, 2026, found no evidence of illegal activity at the company's oil depot.
P.C. Siam Co., Ltd. reiterated its commitment to good governance, transparency, and social responsibility. It assured cooperation with relevant agencies for further investigations and pledged to disclose all necessary information and documents to ensure fairness.
