Pakistani Ships Successfully Navigate the Strait of Hormuz Amid Regional Tensions

Islamabad: A Pakistani cargo ship successfully passed through the Strait of Hormuz, marking a significant achievement for Pakistan's maritime operations. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that two Pakistani ships waiting for passage have now successfully navigated the critical waterway.

According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister Sharif commended Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Field Marshal Asim Munir for their roles in ensuring the safe transit of the ships. He highlighted the efforts made in recent days to arrange for an additional 20 Pakistani-flagged vessels to transit the Strait of Hormuz, a vital maritime route for global oil shipments.

Sharif also urged various sectors to collaborate in implementing resource conservation measures to mitigate the economic repercussions of the ongoing Iran-Iran conflict. He emphasized the importance of strategic cooperation in addressing these economic challenges.

Furthermore, Pakistani authorities announced fuel subsidies for the public over the past three weeks, amounting to 129 billion Pakistani rupees, equivalent to approximately 16.303 billion baht. They assured that the central government had provided robust budgetary support to stabilize fuel prices during this period.
