Jakarta:Deputy Prime Minister Pakorn Nilapraphan expressed his lack of concern over his inclusion in a no-confidence motion, dismissing the accusations as unfounded and emphasizing the need for reason in democratic processes.
According to Thai News Agency, Pakorn, who oversees legal affairs, spoke at Government House regarding the opposition's motion against 18 ministers, including himself, under Section 151. He found the accusations against him baseless and was unsure how to respond, urging for clarity and reason over emotion in democratic discourse.
Pakorn questioned the opposition's claims of conflict of interest and favoritism, insisting that accusations require specificity. He maintained that his role is to ensure the government operates legally, emphasizing that accusations must be evidence-based.
He further noted that he is not a member of the Bhumjaithai Party, although he has been invited to share his expertise. Pakorn reassured that he is unworried by the allegations and is at ease, having committed no wrongdoing.
