Bangkok: Paveena Hongsakul, leading the Kla Tham Party team, embarked on a mission to engage with Thai people of Indian descent, including Hindu and Sikh communities, to address social issues at their roots and promote collective action for national transformation.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Paveena Hongsakul, Chairperson of the Social Advisory Committee of the Kla Tham Party, along with Mr. Nikorn Chatchadet from the party's economic policy team, led a delegation of Kla Tham Party candidates to engage with the Thai-Indian community. Their visit aimed to gather insights for creating social change collaboratively.
The initial visit was to "Wat Thep Montien" or the Hindu Samaj Association in Bangkok's Phra Nakhon District. The delegation was warmly welcomed by temple committee members and local residents. Discussions focused on the Thai-Indian community's role in the local economy and promoting inclusive social welfare.
Subsequently, the group visited "Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha," the first Sikh temple in Thailand, located in Pahurat. The delegation paid respects and engaged in discussions about employment-related challenges and community suggestions.
