PEA Details Steps to Connect Solar Rooftops for Tax Deduction Participants

Bangkok: The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) has outlined a detailed procedure for residential electricity users wishing to connect solar rooftops under the home tax deduction program, specifically for installations not exceeding 10 kWp.

According to Thai News Agency, the PEA has provided a comprehensive guideline to facilitate homeowners in obtaining the necessary permissions to connect their solar power systems to the grid. The process begins with submitting an application through the PEA's PPIM system, accessible at https://ppim.pea.co.th. The PEA will then review the submitted documents for accuracy. Should any discrepancies be found, applicants will be prompted to make the necessary corrections.

Once the application is approved, applicants are required to make a payment and submit both the receipt and installation certification form via the PPIM system. The PEA will then verify the installation certification form by inspecting the setup to ensure it adheres to the specified standards.

After a successful inspection, PEA will notify the applicant of the connection start date, which marks the eligibility for the tax deduction. To qualify, applicants must be the registered owner of the electricity meter and use electricity for residential purposes. It is crucial for participants to retain all relevant documents as proof for the Revenue Department. For further inquiries, individuals can contact the PEA Contact Center at 1129, operational 24 hours a day.
