Trang, People of Nong Prue Subdistrict, Ratsada District, Trang Province, joined the alms-giving ceremony by boat to offer merit to His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty's 6th cycle birthday anniversary on July 28, 2024. At Wat Klong Khao Chan, Nong Prue Subdistrict, Ratsada District, Trang Province, Mr. Thirasak Sittichai, Mayor of Nong Prue Subdistrict Administrative Organization, together with civil servants, staff, teachers and students from Ratsada District, Trang Province, more than 500 people, participated in the alms giving ceremony by boat to offer merit to His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King's 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary on July 28, 2024. Phra Khru Ratsada Khetkhanarak, the abbot of Wat Klong Khao Chan, and 3 monks sat in a boat to receive alms of rice and dried food around the golden chapel built in the middle of the water. It is 9 meters wide, 29 meters long and the water level is approximately 1.20 meters deep. It is the first chap el in Trang Province built in the middle of the water, which is surrounded by a large number of fish. When the villagers finished giving alms, they all boarded a boat to see the chapel in the middle of the water before taking a souvenir photo. Meanwhile, the students did a good deed by feeding the fish, showing their gentle hearts, compassion and sacrifice, and offered merit to His Majesty the King. Source: Thai News Agency
