Bangkok: The People's Movement for Thailand (PMT) is set to hold its 'Policy Fest: A City That Cares for Its People' on June 20th, where it will reveal a comprehensive blueprint focusing on four key policy areas aimed at supporting the residents of Bangkok.
According to Thai News Agency, the event will take place at the Future Forward Party Building and will showcase the concept of "Transforming Policies on Paper into Tangible Experiences." The People's Party aims to demonstrate its readiness to govern the city by presenting a policy blueprint designed to create a welfare system that supports citizens' lives and offers opportunities for Bangkok residents to establish themselves.
The Policy Fest is envisioned as a platform to highlight that the People's Party has developed a set of policies ready for implementation to transform Bangkok into a people-centered city. The event will feature policies in four specific areas: family care, basic living and welfare, transportation, and commerce. These policies are geared towards improving the quality of life and making it easier for Bangkok residents to establish themselves. Policy booths representing each of the 50 Bangkok City Council candidates will be set up, showcasing solutions to grassroots-level problems.
Furthermore, a panel discussion is scheduled from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, featuring presentations by party leaders such as "Joe" Chaiwat Sathavorawichit, Bangkok Governor candidate number 10; Nattapong Ruangpanyawut, leader of the People's Party; and Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, chairman of the Progressive Movement. The discussion will address the restructuring of the Bangkok bureaucratic system to transition from a bureaucratic state to one that supports small businesses, a crucial aspect in building a city that cares for its people.
The event aims to create an open space for the public to participate, discuss, and inquire about the party's readiness to develop a city that prioritizes its residents before the upcoming Bangkok gubernatorial and City Council elections. The event is free and open to all interested parties on the specified date.
