Petition Calls for Investigation Into Good Deeds Foundation’s Financial Practices

Bangkok:A petition has been submitted to the Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior to investigate the Good Deeds Foundation, founded by Boom Panadda, over allegations of fund misuse.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Boonyanooch Saengsri, also known as Oysri, along with her legal team and representatives of victims, initiated the petition. They are urging authorities to look beyond personal donation amounts and scrutinize whether funds are used for their intended purposes. Ms. Boonyanooch highlighted concerns about past instances of donation misuse and is calling for broader investigations into other foundations that receive public donations to ensure transparency and proper use of funds.

Ms. Boonyanooch mentioned that several victims have reached out to her, expressing fear of harassment or background checks. Notably, some well-known individuals are hesitant to come forward due to potential reputational damage. She asserted that criticism from opposing parties will not impede the investigation. Furthermore, Ms. Boonyanooch dismissed an offer to settle the matter with the return of 1,000 baht, emphasizing the importance of examining the foundation's total turnover, which she suggests could reach 1 billion baht.

Ms. Boonyanooch is preparing to provide testimony and additional evidence to the Crime Suppression Division. She also stated that, should she encounter Ms. Panadda, she will greet her normally and sees no need to apologize, advocating for straightforward transparency checks regardless of the investigation's outcome.
