Phai Phongsathon Unveils New Single Celebrating Mor Lam Style

Bangkok: “Phai Phongsathon” releases new single “Ai Mee Chao Tae Chao Mee Phua” (I Have You, But You Have a Husband) to welcome the new year, delivering a full-on Mor Lam style performance.

According to Thai News Agency, Phai Phongsathon, the young artist pursuing his dreams, kicks off a new era with his latest single, “Ai Mee Chao Tae Chao Mee Phua” (I Have You, But You Have a Husband). This work takes a heartbreaking love story from our homeland and presents it in a fun and playful way, set to a more vibrant, contemporary Mor Lam style.

This single features lyrics and melody by Preecha Padphai, telling the story of a young man who falls in love with a woman without knowing she’s already taken. The lyrics blend humor, heartbreak, and the frustration of being unexpectedly deceived, using straightforward, accessible Isaan dialect while maintaining the distinctive style of Phai Pongsathorn.

Musically, Jinny Phuthai handled the arrangement, adding playful sounds of the Mor Lam style with a mix of traditional Thai string instrument (phin-khaen) and international influences. This gives the song a more vibrant and fun rhythm, perfect for the New Year’s festivities when many are looking for upbeat music to liven up their celebrations.

As for the vocals, Phai Phongsathon delivers a deeply emotional Mor Lam performance, sure to resonate with fans of heartbreak, those who have been deceived or disappointed in love, especially with the straightforward lyrics of the song “I Have You, But You Have a Husband.”

Fans can now watch the music video and listen to the song “Ai Mee Chao Tae Chao Mee Phua” on the GRAMMY GOLD OFFICIAL YouTube channel and all streaming platforms.
