Pheu Thai Party to Unveil Election Candidates at Upcoming Event

Bangkok: The Pheu Thai Party is gearing up for a significant political event on October 7th, as it prepares to introduce candidates for the House of Representatives in the forthcoming election. Mr. Sorawong Thienthong, Member of Parliament for Sa Kaeo and Secretary-General of the Pheu Thai Party, has announced that the event will take place at 1:30 PM under the theme “Revamp Pheu Thai, Revamp Thailand.” This gathering aims to showcase the party’s readiness to compete in the election, in accordance with the timeline set by Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, which indicates that the House of Representatives will be dissolved by January 31, 2026.

According to Thai News Agency, the Pheu Thai Party plans to not only introduce its first set of MP candidates but also to discuss its strategic approach for candidate selection across various zones. The event will emphasize the party’s commitment to quality and local participation. A highlight of the event will be a vision presentation by Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, the Pheu Thai Party Leader and 31st Prime Minister, who will outline her plans to “revamp Pheu Thai” and “reinvent Thailand.”

Mr. Sorawong acknowledged that the Pheu Thai Party has faced both positive and negative feedback in the past. He emphasized that the party has taken these criticisms seriously, conducted internal research, and drawn conclusions to drive future improvements. “To ensure that Pheu Thai remains the political representative and reliance of the people, we invite everyone to follow the live broadcast of the Pheu Thai Party on the specified date and time,” Mr. Sorawong stated.
