Hat yai: The Pheu Thai Party has extended its support to individuals affected by the recent floods in the southern region, emphasizing the necessity for prompt governmental assistance.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Suksit Srichomkhwan, a spokesman for the Pheu Thai Party, highlighted the critical flooding situation in the South. He expressed solidarity with those impacted and called on the government to focus on delivering immediate relief. Mr. Srichomkhwan mentioned that while the Pheu Thai Party has been proactive in issuing warnings through cell broadcasts, there is a need for the government to develop more concrete plans for shelters and evacuations.
He further pointed out the severe situation in Hat Yai, where a provincewide evacuation order has been issued, marking a crisis of greater magnitude than the floods of 2000. Mr. Srichomkhwan stressed the urgency for government intervention to address and alleviate the hardships faced by the affected populations swiftly.
