Bangkok: Phu Wiang National Park is abuzz with its award for “Best Public Toilet of 2025” for cleanliness and international standards. Mr. Sutham Wongchan, Chief of Phu Wiang National Park, received the “Best Public Toilet of the Year 2025” award from Mr. Worachot Sukonkhajorn, Deputy Minister of Public Health, at the event, organized by the Department of Health, at the Miracle Grand Convention Hotel in Bangkok.

According to Thai News Agency, this year, 13 organizations nationwide received awards for Best Public Toilet of the Year. Phu Wiang National Park in Khon Kaen Province has been improving its restrooms and toilets to meet the Department of Health’s Clean, Sufficient, and Safe (HAS) standards, raising the bar for the Best Public Toilet of the Year award in 2025.

To ensure that tourists of all ages, including the elderly, pregnant women, the disabled, and handicapped, have equal access to clean and safe toilets in accordance with international standards, the toilets are designed with a color tone that matches the context of the area, are environmentally friendly, use natural light, and have appropriate ventilation.
