Bangkok: Minister of Transport Pipat Ratchakitprakarn has not yet appointed a new secretary to the Minister of Transport, as he awaits the outcome of the investigation into Ratchapong Chukaew's innocence. Pipat is prepared to reinstate Ratchapong to his former position if he is found innocent.

According to Thai News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, addressed the situation regarding the resignation of Ratchapong Chukaew, who served as the Minister of Transport's secretary until June 27th. Pipat revealed that he has refrained from appointing a replacement because he believes it is important to allow the investigation to run its course. Pipat emphasized his commitment to fairness, stating that if Ratchapong is ultimately exonerated, he will be reinstated to his original position.

Pipat clarified that Ratchapong's resignation was partly due to news reports and ongoing issues, which he asserted are grounded in facts. He stressed that any allegations of corruption are a personal matter for Ratchapong and not connected to the Ministry of Transport. Pipat assured that he would not interfere with the investigation and would not protect anyone found guilty of wrongdoing. He also noted that the ministry's operations have not been affected, as there are other capable civil servants handling the responsibilities.
