Sakon nakhon: Piyabutr Saengkanokkul and Pita Limjaroenrat, campaign assistants for the People's Party, have urged residents of Sakon Nakhon to plant the orange flag across the province by voting for the People's Party in the upcoming elections. They emphasized the importance of sending Sakon Nakhon representatives to support Nattapong Wenger as Prime Minister and form a government that embodies "the people's sovereignty." They described the political landscape as a two-polar system, contrasting the "old pole" and the "new pole." According to Thai News Agency, the People's Party held a rally at the market in front of the Sakon Nakhon Bus Terminal, led by Piyabutr and Pita. Piyabutr stated that the People's Party is campaigning in the final stretch with a "People's Caravan," which includes eight routes across Thailand. This method, rooted in the Move Forward Party's strategies, cannot be imitated by other parties, he claimed. The party boasts a large number of influential leaders, speakers, and campaign assis tants who can reach the entire nation simultaneously. Piyabutr highlighted his long-standing connection with Sakon Nakhon, dating back to the founding of the Future Forward Party in 2018. In the 2019 election, the party secured approximately 84,000 votes in the province. Despite the dissolution of the Future Forward Party and the disqualification of many of its leaders, the Move Forward Party managed to nearly triple its votes to 200,000 in the 2023 election. However, the party still did not win at the constituency level. Piyabutr expressed hope that in the 2026 election, under Nattapong Ruangpanyawut's leadership, the People's Party will garner over 300,000 votes in Sakon Nakhon and secure representatives for all seven districts. The upcoming election on February 8th is pivotal for Thailand's future, Piyabutr stressed. He urged the people of Sakon Nakhon to change their representatives by supporting the seven People's Party candidates. These candidates aim to form a government that truly represents the peo ple. Piyabutr argued that the political scene is not a Three Kingdoms scenario but a battle between two factions: the traditional political forces and the new faction represented by the People's Party. He called on the people of Sakon Nakhon to consider the political bloc they want, highlighting unresolved issues like land for farming, infrastructure, and employment, as well as persistent corruption. Piyabutr emphasized that change cannot come from the same old political forces. Piyabutr criticized the current political landscape, stating that despite past promises, little has been achieved. He argued that the People's Party's policies, if given the chance, would bring necessary change. He also pointed out the importance of securing 200-250 MPs in the election to form a government without opposition. Piyabutr called for significant voter turnout, aiming for 20 million votes nationwide to ensure the People's Party's success. He encouraged voters in Sakon Nakhon and neighboring provinces to support the party , creating a widespread "orange" phenomenon. Despite challenges, including party dissolutions and legal obstacles, Piyabutr affirmed the People's Party's commitment to fighting for change, with the support of the people. Pita Limjaroenrat added that the upcoming election is an opportunity to elect the first MP from Sakon Nakhon for the People's Party. He expressed gratitude to the residents for their past support and urged them to vote for change on February 8th, supporting the People's Party on both ballots.
