Plan B Refutes BMTA Contract Allegations, Asserts Court Rulings in Their Favor

Bangkok: Plan B Media Public Company Limited, commonly known as Plan B, has firmly rejected allegations concerning its advertising concession contract with the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA).

According to Thai News Agency, Plan B issued a statement addressing information circulating in media and social media, which it claims could lead to misunderstandings and harm the company’s reputation. The allegations relate to a dispute from over 20 years ago, with the origins dating back to November 30, 2007. The complaint was brought to the Prime Minister on December 9, 2025, despite the issue having already gone through the entire legal process.

The company emphasized that the court has definitively ruled on all 21 criminal cases related to the matter, declaring the allegations baseless. The complainants had filed lawsuits against Plan B and associated individuals, but the company exercised its legal rights throughout the proceedings. The final judgments in these cases demonstrated that the allegations lacked legal foundation, and the original cases are not subject to relitigation, with some even surpassing the statute of limitations.

Plan B also highlighted that in instances where the company and its associates were the plaintiffs, the court ruled against the complainants in some cases. In other instances, complainants admitted to the court that their allegations were based on misunderstandings. Additionally, the BMTA, a state agency implicated in these claims, has pursued defamation lawsuits against the complainants. Plan B asserts that the revival of these resolved issues might lead to confusion among stakeholders, including shareholders, investors, business partners, and the public.

The company reiterated its trust in the judicial process and its readiness to disclose facts based on court judgments, which repeatedly indicated the legal unfoundedness of the allegations. Plan B assured that its business operations are conducted in accordance with good governance, transparency, and strict legal compliance. It acknowledged the potential negative impact of inaccurate information on stakeholder confidence and the capital market’s image.

In concluding its statement, Plan B reserved the right to initiate legal action, both civil and criminal, against those spreading false information that could damage the company’s reputation and interests. The company affirmed its dedication to cooperating with authorities in a fair investigation based on legal and court judgments.
