Bangkok: Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul addressed the escalating issue of plastic pellet shortages and price surges during a meeting at Government House. The discussions involved key government figures and foreign dignitaries, focusing on the impact of geopolitical tensions on Thailand's industrial supply chain.

According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister began his duties at 9:23 AM, where he first engaged in discussions with the Russian Ambassador to Thailand, Yevgeny Tomikhin. The conversation, which included Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sisak Phuangketkaew, was a precursor to a subsequent meeting concerning the economic implications of the conflict in the Middle East and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Supajee Suthamphan, along with Minister of Industry Varawut Silpa-archa, later reported to the Prime Minister about the high prices and scarcity of plastic pellets. The meeting aimed to strategize responses to the challenge posed by these international developments, emphasizing the need for effective solutions to stabilize the affected industries.
