Phnom Penh: The Prime Minister has arrived in Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia, to hold bilateral discussions on trade issues, cross-border problem resolution, and witness the signing of seven important agreements and documents.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister and spouse, paid an official visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia. She was accompanied by Mr. Suriya Juangroongruangkit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Mr. Maris Sengiampong, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Labor, and Mr. Chalermchai Sri-on, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, arriving at Phnom Penh International Airport.
The Prime Minister then traveled to the Peace Palace to inspect the Guard of Honour in an official welcoming ceremony before holding small bilateral discussions and bilateral discussions with Samdech Maha Vajiralongkorn Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The discussions focused on important issues such as border trade, cross-border problem-solving, and labor.
The Prime Minister will then witness the signing ceremony of seven agreements between Thailand and Cambodia. These include the Memorandum of Understanding on Ownership, Use, Administration and Maintenance of the Thai-Cambodian Friendship Bridge (Ban Nong Ien-Stung Bot), the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation on Transboundary Environmental Pollution, the Memorandum of Understanding on Labor Employment and Labor Cooperation, and the Agreement on the Construction of a New Cross-Border Bridge at the Permanent Border Checkpoint in Ban Pakkat, Pong Nam Ron District, Chanthaburi Province. Additionally, the Prime Minister will preside over the opening ceremony of the logo for the 75th Anniversary of the Establishment of Thai-Cambodian Diplomatic Relations, including a joint press conference. After the ceremony, the Cambodian Prime Minister will host a luncheon in honor of the Prime Minister.
