PM to Visit Koh Phangan to Address Foreign Nominee Concerns

Koh phangan: Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul is set to visit Koh Phangan in Surat Thani province on May 13 to closely monitor the involvement of foreign nationals in businesses using Thai nominees.

According to Thai News Agency, this visit follows the Prime Minister's recent inspection in Phuket on May 10, where he highlighted the importance of tackling issues related to influential figures, encroachment on public land, and ensuring the protection of citizens' rights to work safely.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the government is committed to preventing the use of nominees or exploitation of legal loopholes that could pose threats to public and national economic security. He underscored the significance of addressing these concerns, particularly in major tourist destinations that hold substantial economic value and greatly influence the broader income of the local communities.
